Kitty Hide ‘N’ Seek

Kitty hide and seek. Favourite game of the TRE kitties, but especially this one:

Sir McMuffinFluff

To play hide and seek with your kitty, first you need:

A blanket. Not quilt; those things are too heavy for easy tunnelin’. But you do need a blanket that’s big enough for kitty to tunnel around here and there.

You also need a kitty, preferably a kitty who doesn’t get too high on the game and try to maul your hand under the covers (because Max does get overly excited and attacks our hands–and then looks around to see why no one is playing anymore).

Trim kitty’s nails just to be safe!

Toss blanket over kitty and watch kitty try to get out. You can help by playing peek-a-boo with kitty. You may want to help if kitty gets stuck, like so:

Some cats drool when they are really contented, and Muffin is one of those kitties. Pat him long enough when he’s relaxed and making biscuits (kneading) and he’ll start it (if you’ll scroll up to the very first picture and look carefully, you’ll see that he has a wet bottom lip because he’s on my lap and lovin’ it) ! He also licks our hands. Never let it be said that kitties aren’t affectionate 😛

And after a vigorous game of hide ‘n’ seek… it’s time for a nap!
