Bison! What a novel meat bison is, seeing the closest we have to it is cow, cow and more cow. You probably can tell by now that I love to try out novel meats on my pets…and why not? Rotation is good for them, because 1.) it keeps them from being picky, and 2.) keeps them from getting allergies from eating the same thing over and over again.
Some pet lovers believe that cats should only eat feathered things (such as chicken) and small furry things (such as rabbit, mice and guinea pigs), but I prefer to let mine have whatever that I can get my hands on.
And now I have a packet of dehydrated bison heart!
AND IT IS FREAKING SUPERGOODNESSME DELICIOUSSSSSSSSSS…
*feels ashamed of self*
This product is good for those who are squeamish about handling raw offal, because they come in nice jerky-like strips and smell like Chinese New Year BBQ meat (bakwa). Remember, your pets need organ meat! Read about organ meats here.
And of course, the cats certainly appreciate the smell as well! See Max? He’s all ready…in fact he’d been all ready ever since I ripped the parcel to unearth this packet of goodies.
Strips of bison in bag
The cats loved it! You can hear them crunching and munching away…it’s always good to have them pets chewing (not on your furniture or fingers) on meat. In any case, for those of you who are wary about bones, these bison strips make a very nice alternative.
SNAP, CRACKLE, CRUNCH!
